Therapy Services

Therapy services, as offered through Professional Psychology Services, utilize a Cognitive-Behavioral Approach.
The focus of therapy is to help individuals develop a greater understanding of the conditions or stressors that are
disrupting their lives, and to develop enhanced communication, problem-solving, stress-management, and/or
conflict resolution skills for managing these concerns.

Concerns that might benefit from therapy can include (though are not limited to):
     -Relationship Conflict
     -Mood Disturbance (Depression, Bipolar Disorder, etc.)
     -Substance Use Problems
     -Anxiety, Stress, Trauma
     -Health Crises
     -Grief over the loss of a loved one
     -Pain Management
     -Problems of Aging
     -Etc.

*A referral for psychiatric consultation may be made where the need for pharmacotherapy is indicated.
